Beaudesert Scout Camp 2016

21 July 2016

Here are the final details about Scout Camp.  I’d be grateful if you could return the activity forms Air Rifle Consent (link), Activity Consent (link), and any outstanding balance on Thursday 21st.

Departure:          Please meet at Witham Drive Scout Hut at 10:30am on Saturday 30th July.

Return:                 To Witham Drive at approximately 15:00 – 15:30 on Wednesday 3rd August.

The Camp Booklet Camp Booklet (link) has a kit list for camp but please ensure you have the following:

  • A packed lunch for Saturday 30th with a reusable water/drinks bottle.
  • Clothes suitable for a water activity (eg an old pair of trainers, T-shirt and shorts that can be worn in the water, additional to camp wear).  Please avoid jeans or tracksuits as they become very heavy when wet.  Please no wellies, flip-flops or crocs for the water activity.
  • A water proof coat.
  • A sun hat and sun cream.
  • Suitable footwear for:
    • Wearing around camp and for trips off site.
    • Footwear suitable for hiking in (ideally hike boots but comfortable trainers will suffice).
    • Really old trainers for water activities (please see note above).
  • A cake or biscuits that can be used as a snack or dessert.
  • Scouts should wear Scout uniform to travel to and from camp.
  • A recommended max of £15 pocket money.  It would be helpful if this includes change
